Hi Brendan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Positivity and persistence.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Cannabis went from completely illegal to an “essential business” during a pandemic in two years. We have been able to move through all of these changes and outlast our competition and that is why we continue to grow. It has not been easy to say the least. Legalization has been a crazy ride. Once the State of California approved commercial cannabis the “big boys” stepped on the field with massive amounts of capital and resources, but many did not succeed. The reason we are still in the game is we have a team of fully committed players willing to do whatever it takes to keep going. Regulations and taxes are two of the biggest game changers during legalization, but because we have been able to adapt to the changes and stay focused on our long-term goals we have prevailed where others have fallen short.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
California is an amazing place in the world with so many cool spots to hang out. San Francisco Bay and Los Angeles are at the heart of California culture and have so much to offer when it comes to cool places. San Francisco is all about the day parties, on any casual weekend it’s fun to link up with friends in the park. It’s nice to hang out in the grass with a cocktail as the sun shines down. Having a close nit group of friends in LA makes a world of a difference when exploring the city. Typically we hang out around West Hollywood and in the Hollywood Hills at friends houses. All of our friends are successful interesting people, so it’s nice to connect friends that have similar interests. Many of our LA friends are from Tampa, Florida, the Florida crew sticks together strong.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It’s all about having the right people on board. I think having a great team is in invaluable to the success of our business. Alma and Vince have been on the team and helped to establish our brand in the cannabis industry. They are the backbone of our daily operations and with them on board we have been able to push ourselves to the next level. I would also credit our professional advisors for helping us navigate the newly charted cannabis territory. Tim our CPA and Graham our IP attorney have been invaluable in developing and maintaining our brand. Strategic partnerships and maintaining positive relationships with our suppliers has also had a major contribution to our success.
